Basic Present Tense / -μ•„/μ–΄/μ—¬ μš”

To conjugate to present tense, take verb stem and add one

  • μ•„μš”
  • μ–΄μš”
  • μ—¬μš”
Conjugation
  1. If the verb stem's last vowel is ㅏ or γ…—, it is followed by μ•„μš”.
  2. If the last vowel is NOT ㅏ or γ…—, it is followed by μ–΄μš”.
  3. Only one verb stem, which is ν•˜, is followed by μ—¬μš”.

κ°€λ‹€ = to go κ°€μ•„μš” κ°€μš”

λ¨Ήλ‹€ = to eat λ¨Ήμ–΄μš”

보닀 = to see λ³΄μ•„μš” λ΄μš”

보이닀 = to be seen λ³΄μ΄μ–΄μš” λ³΄μ—¬μš”

ν•˜λ‹€ = to do ν•˜μ—¬μš” ν•΄μš”

studying = 곡뢀 to study = κ³΅λΆ€ν•˜λ‹€ cleaning = μ²­μ†Œ to clean = μ²­μ†Œν•˜λ‹€ cooking = μš”λ¦¬ to cook = μš”λ¦¬ν•˜λ‹€
